LifeLine Counseling Center is presenting Art and Soul, a four class series for children featuring unique art projects geared toward self-discovery and creative expression. The classes help children develop self-confidence, social skills and divergent thinking skills useful in the creative generation of ideas in problem solving. The classes will be held at Monte Vista on Feb. 1, 8, 15, and 22 from 4:30 to 5:45 pm.
LifeLine’s parenting classes called Getting Kids Ready for the Real World will be held at the same time. Topics include the top ten parenting myths, teaching children responsibility and accountability, effective encouragement techniques, the choices/consequences/reward approach to discipline, and creative ways to deal with problematic behaviors.

Children are very important to us here at Monte Vista Baptist Church. We love to hear the sounds of children learning, laughing, singing, and playing. We have a kid-friendly church where they are nurtured and loved. We work hand in hand in with parents in building a strong spiritual foundation in our children. Our workers in Children’s Ministry are committed and caring Christian people. Our programs are planned to be exciting, age-appropriate and fun, while teaching Biblical truths to our young ones. Sunday School: 9:15 – 10:20
Preteens attend worship service and sit together
Children's Worship for Kindergarten -4th Grade leave the worship service at a designated time.
Splendid Session: Worship time for our threes and fours during morning worship. Three year olds meet in the nursery area, and four year olds meet on second floor.
Extended Session for Babies -Twos in the Nursery during worship service
Children's Kid's Time Missions Wednesdays, 5:45 p.m. .
Graded choir groups, Sundays at 6:00 p.m. |
