The Servant’s Walk
The Servant’s Walk is a model for discipleship developed from the process Jesus used when He called his first disciples and invited them to participate in a new spiritual experience. Any serious study of his teaching methods in the Gospels will reveal a pattern of how Jesus invested his life in the lives of a handful of men. Using this pattern as a guide, leaders at Monte Vista have developed The Servant’s Walk, a spiritual growth experience designed to take a potential disciple through four progressive movements that lead to spiritual maturity (from a state of lostness to the deepest levels of Christian living). The movements we have identified in Jesus ministry are (1) Knowing Christ, (2) Growing in Christ, (3) Serving Christ, and (4) Sharing Christ.

Growing Through Relationships
A Journey-Group (J-Group) is an opportunity to experience an adventure in spiritual growth through real and deeply connected relationships. Each group will have up to 10 members who come together on a regular basis to support one another as they grow in their relationship to Jesus Christ. It is a place where you can belong, make some real friends, share your joys and sorrows, ask the questions you always wanted to ask about your faith and discover God’s plan and purpose for your life. It is a place where it is okay to be real, to laugh, to love, to celebrate and to care for one another.

WELCOME TO SUNDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY
There is a place for everyone (church members as well as others) in our 9:15 – 10:15 AM weekly Sunday Morning Bible Study hour. The primary purposes of this ongoing organization are Bible study, outreach, fellowship, and mutual support. Although the Bible is the textbook for our Sunday Morning Bible Study hour, supplementary curriculum materials, activities, and technological tools are used to provide guides for study and to serve as effective resources for helping in the application of the teachings of the scriptures to real life. You may choose from a variety of Men’s, Women’s, or Coed classes.
In order to assist each guest in finding the appropriate class, a Welcome Center is located on the first floor near the church office. |
