Youth Worship Youth worship happens each Wednesday evening in Chapelbees (youth department) from 6:30 pm - 7:50 pm. Youth worship is for both high school and middle school students. It involves a time of fellowship, often games, a time of singing and praise, and a time of deep reflection with a message or lesson on Bible truth or pressing youth issues. Youth Praise Team This is a group of student volunteers who desire to lead worship through singing. They commit to practice each week together under the leadership of the Music Minister. They have opportunities to sing in Sunday morning worship as well as help lead Youth Worship on Wednesday nights. Youth who join the Youth Praise Team (YPT) make a one year commitment for practice and singing opportunities. Passport
Passport is the highlight of the year for all the youth! This is the annual church camp experience which includes a daily abbreviated mission experience. Passport camps are available in several locations, so, a variety is offered by taking the youth to new places. Passport is called “Passport” because youth receive a passport during the first celebration meeting. Their passport places them into Passport groups of 15 - 18 youth with a trained college leader. So, the church youth group is dispersed into the greater body of youth participating in the camp.High School Only Retreat A highlighted event for the high school youth is their very own fall weekend retreat. This retreat has the same elements of the big Spiitual Weekend Retreat, however itis reserved for only high school students! As a result, the weekend is a little less structured with a little more in depth study. Middle School Only Retreat September 29-30, 2007. This is a mni-version of the big Spiritual Weekend Retreat held in February. |
